Hazrat Zainab radhiallahu anha

Royal Family
PART ONE

The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said that children should be taught for his family, the Ahle Bayt. This series will focus, in brief, on their lives.

CHILDREN
The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had 3 sons and 4 daughters, all from his first wife Khadijah (Radhiallahu anha) except a son Ibrahim.

1. ZAINAB (RADHIALLAHU ANHA)
Eldest daughter of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) born in the fifth year of his marriage when he was 30. She embraced Islam and was married to her cousin Abul Aas bin Rabi who later became Muslim.
On the way to Madinah after the Battle of Badr her cousin, Habar bin Aswad, threw a spear, wounding her and making her fall from her camel and have a miscarriage. She suffered from this wound and passed away of it in 8AH at the age of 31. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: ‘She was my best daughter, for she suffered much on my account,’ and buried her with his own hands.
She had a son Ali and a daughter Amamah. Ali sat with the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) on the camel at the Conquest of Makkah. He passed away during the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)’s life. Amamah was the little girl who used to ride on the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)’s back while he was in Salaah. Ali, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)’s cousin, married her after Fathima (Radhiallahu anha) passed away. After Ali passed away she married Mughirah bin Naufal and had a son, Yahya. She died in 50AH
